Thank you!

Hi all,

Wow what an amazing day! Over 550 young people and 150 adult volunteers came along to make a fantastic event - our biggest competition yet and sunshine to go with it as well. It was fantastic to see so many smiling faces with Young People from all 10 Districts in the County taking part - trying new things, working together as a team to complete the challenges and giving it all their best shot.

Well done to all those who took part - and of course congratulations to all of our winners. There were some really impressive results across all of the competitions and we look forward to coming out to present the trophies over the next few weeks. As I said in the results video though, everyone who took part is a winner in our eyes, we're so glad you all came along to enjoy the fun.

Huge thanks to all of our event staff, Shadow Walkers and Leaders of all of our teams for making it all possible - we couldn't do the event without you. It's a long day and always busy, but we are really grateful to everyone who gave up their time to make it possible, hope you enjoyed it too. If you didn't pick up your event badge, we will make these available from County HQ in due course.

Special thanks to our core team who have spent the last few months preparing for the event with us, from bases to catering, Control, tracking, checking routes, scoring, the online systems and much more. We made a lot of changes this year to hopefully improve the experience for all - and a lot of brilliant volunteers made that possible.

Our Youth Leads took lots of feedback from young people at the end of the event, but we will also be sending out a feedback form in the next few days which we encourage you all to complete. We were thrilled to receive so many positive comments yesterday, but as ever want to hear how we can continue to improve the event.

You can see our results video here.

For the Teamwork Competition, ties are settled by the team with the most number of bases scoring 20/20, followed by the most number of bases scoring 18 and so on.

Thanks again for all of your support and for being a part of our event - we hope to see you all next year! Provisionally we are looking to hold the event on Saturday 18th April 2026.

Thanks,

Jack and Sam
